El Departament de Cultura de la Generalitat de Catalunya ha fet públiques les subvencions a mitjans de comunicació escrits.
Entre les peticions denegades hi ha el Diari de Tarragona o els setmanaris el Vallenc i el Nova Conca.
La veritat és que costa d’entendre per quina raó aquestes publicacions s’han quedat sense ni un €.
Deu ser que el Departament no hi ha recursos, o que només té ulls per publicacions més “amigues”. O passa com el darrer concurs de Castells del passat mes d’octubre. Aquell dia van passar per la nova plaça de braus tarragonina, el president de la Generalitat, José Montilla, el president del Parlament, Ernest Benach, el conseller de Cultura, Joan Manuel Treserres, i d’altres alts càrrecs del govern català. Tots van sortir a la foto.
Doncs, ara que toca retratar-se de veritat, amb la subvenció, resulta que pel concurs de castells la xifra que han atorgat, pel que em diuen ja tenen la resolució escrita els organitzadors, és de 0 euros. Ni calderilla. Res de Res.
Sort que els castells són un símbol de Catalunya, que sino encara resultaria que les colles haurien de pagar per poder concursar…

El Diari no combrega. El Vallenc no combrega. El Concurs de Castells no representa la cultura del “govern català”. Com vols que els donguin cap euro?
Que no se subvencioni el “Diario” de Tarragona, que és una empresa familiar (que mai ha apostat pel català, que tant defensem des de sectors catalanistes), i que fa un periodisme més de cotilleo i folklorismo de la provincia, personalment ja m’està bé. El que no em sembla gena bé és que se subvencioni, com s’està fent des de fa anys per la Generalitat de Catalunya, el mitjà de comunicació -PRIVAT- propietat del Conde de Godó, gran borbonista i monàrquic fins a la mèdula: LA VANGUARDIA. La política de premsa de la Generalitat està subvencionant empreses que són deficitàries i les està aguantant per pena. El diari de paper va a la baixa, assumim-ho.
És una pena, ells s’ho perden. Així seran més lliures de dir la veritat.

So not really on the same topic as your post, but I found this today and I just can’t resist sharing. Mrs. Agathe’s dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman. Since she had to go to work the next day, she told him, “I’ll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I’ll mail you the check. Oh, and by the way…don’t worry about my Doberman. He won’t bother you. But, whatever you do, do NOT under ANY circumstances talk to my parrot!” When the repairman arrived at Mrs. Agathe’s apartment the next day, he discovered the biggest and meanest looking Doberman he had ever seen. But just as she had said, the dog simply laid there on the carpet, watching the repairman go about his business. However, the whole time the parrot drove him nuts with his incessant cursing, yelling and name-calling. Finally the repairman couldn’t contain himself any longer and yelled, “Shut up, you stupid ugly bird!” To which the parrot replied, “Get him, Spike!”
